When I was 10 years old my favorite thing to wear was a plaid skirt with a plaid vest.  I know not exactly Vogue worthy, but as a pre-teen it made me feel, “sophisticated,” LOL.  Anyway, the days of wearing head to toe plaid are over, but a cute jacket, funky pants or even the over the top shoe can bring back the school girl innocence.

Plaid, for me, is a cold weather print.  Probably because for plaid to look “right”, darker colors are a must.  With the burgundies, browns and rich blues and greens being shown for fall, it’s a perfect season to throw a few checks in the mix.  Whether your simple or over the top in your pairing, be smart with your purchase.  A little goes a long way.  xoxo
