For the past several months I’ve been obsessing over saddle brown bags. I’m definitely not in the market for another bag, but I’m loving the versatility that brown brings. Brown in general is more of a casual color, but paired with a bold red, a sophisticated navy or the classic black, you can’t go wrong with the conservative hue. From Celine to Proenza, the choices are endless for finding your perfect shoulder buddy. xoxo
For the last several season’s it’s been all about color. Starting with colored denim, colored blouses and moving straight through to color blocking. Now monochromatic styling is the new revival of color. Summer is the perfect season for bright, bold dressing. Keep in mind your lifestyle when choosing items. A blazer and slacks won’t work for play dates and ice cream runs, put pulling out your, almost outdated, colored denim with a mono tank will. xoxo
Summer can sometimes feel disheveled. As laid back and carefree summer portrays itself to be, it can be down right exhausting and my appearance is what suffers. When it comes to hair the summer humidity is not our friend. Whether you were born with stick straight hair or the unruly curl, weather can reek havoc, and for me, make me look like I have a cotton ball on my head.
A sleek low ponytail is my summer go to style. Not only is it functional in cooling me down, it’s a quick, chic solution for that “oh crap” moment. The bonus with a ponytail this year is that come fall the tails will still be prancing. xoxo
Sunglasses are a summer staple, and here in So Cal they are a year round necessity. With the endless choices of round, square, cat eye or aviator to plastic, frameless, even leather to choose from, picking out a simple pair of shades can be crazy making.
At the moment the plastic frames from Island Plastics are catching my eye. My aviators have been in heavy rotation for well over a couple of years. It’s now time to branch out and find some new shade. xoxo
My blogging has been very undisciplined lately. I am knee deep in everything home and honestly I’m exhausted. My days have easily been 13hrs long and the last thing I’ve wanted to do is use my brain for blogging. But, with that said we must move forward. 😉
Lately I’ve been obsessed with copper ball lights. I absolutely love everything about them. They’re chic, modern, fun and simple. I’ve been combing every inch of my house trying to figure out where I could make them work, but with my home being small (on a good day) I’m not seeing the light, but they are beautiful. xoxo
