When traveling to other countries I get so excited, not only to explore their history and culture, but also to scour their fashions and textiles. More often then not I leave disappointed in not being able to find different pieces that are not available to us here in the U.S. The reality is the world has become small thanks to the internet. There really isn’t a coat, a dress, a pair of shoes or handbag that can’t be located by a push of a button. So the question is, how do you find different and unique pieces that maybe aren’t seen in every blog, magazine or department store?
For me the answer is vintage. Sure fashion insiders have become savvy to vintage finds, and what used to be an untouched market, has become an over saturated, vendor heavy industry. But, as history has always proven…it does repeat itself. And with that, my newest obsession are vintage levis.
Their resurrection has been creeping steadily, just by looking on instagram there’s a plethora of cutoffs. But now the 90’s staple is making it’s way back in their full length with the latest Manolo’s. Come spring, denim houses will be clamoring to make their version of an old pair of levis. Happy Holidays! xoxo
Fall has finally hit us in LA. Although we’re not experiencing the frigid temps that the mid-west has, we’re definitely into jacket weather.
Bomber jackets are at the top of my list for transitioning into fall. Not only are they functional for the cooler nights, they add an unexpected twist to a traditional classic piece. Worn with anything from skinnies to a pencil skirt, you’ll definitely “be the bomb” in your bomber. Happy Monday! xoxo

So lately we’ve been reading that denim is on it’s way out, with athletic wear becoming our go to staple. Although I do believe we will be seeing more of an athletic influence in our day to day style, for denim to become extinct I think it would take an armageddon.
It’s been a while since I’ve had an “I have to have that jean” moment. Going back to vintage levis has been my fashion moment as of late. But, recently I saw Victoria Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rocking these amazing Paige denim metallic pants. Yes, I know, metallic may not be the most inviting textile that you would want to drape your butt in…but it’s edgy, out of the box, individual persona has definitely got me thinking. Have a great weekend! xoxo
These days the over sized shoulder bag has taken a back seat. And although a big bag has always been a staple of mine, I have to agree that a mini makes a much bigger statement.
Reaching for a clutch sized bag takes a bit of planning. Carrying everything from books to wipes has to be reconsidered when carrying a smaller bag. Only the essentials are necessary, card holder, keys, phone, lip gloss, hand sanitizer and maybe a small protein bar is really all there’s room for. It may take some getting used to running around town with what seems like a coin purse, but in the long run think how much you’ll save in chiropractic bills. Have a great weekend! xoxo
