So, here we are 2015. The first page of a 365 page journey. How will you make your year different/better!? I personally look forward to living a life of more internal freedom and clarity, with my feet firmly grounded beneath me. A conscious and daily practice to know and understand what’s truly important, and grateful for every moment life offers.
With that said, my love for fashion, style, interiors and beauty continues to grow, and where this journey takes me is still unclear. I will continue to write my blog and enjoy every part of it’s creative process. I look forward to pealing back layers and keep striving to live an authentic, complete life. With my husband and my little boy by my side, my journey will be full of love and excitement. And for that I am truly grateful. I wish the best for you and yours in 2015. I hope for all your dreams to come true, and that you may walk with love and peace in your heart. xoxo
I got into blogging as a “dare” from my husband. Looking for something different to do, he suggested that I start a blog and put to paper all the style advice and shopping do’s and don’ts I did for so many of my friends. I can’t say I thought “what a great idea” when he suggested it, but in the end I’m happy that I did and I’m looking forward to the changes my site will heed.
With that said Instagram has become such a huge venue to showcase fashion, style and living, that the lines become blurred with blogging about what I find beautiful and/or photographing my personal style and life as I see it. Sometimes it’s just so much more fun (and inspirational) to take a corky picture of my dog than it is to write again about another fashion trend that has been recycled. Either way the fact still remains that I love fashion and style, and more and more interior design, that’ll I’ll keep doing what I’m doing for the sheer love of it. So come with me on my journery, follow Show and Tell Me on Instagram and lets keep redefining our style. Have a great Sunday! xoxo
Perspective is a funny thing. By definition it reads: A particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view. Sometimes, something comes along that is so beautiful, that it makes you stop for a moment and take in what the most important things in life are. As I sit in front of my computer, trying to put words to my thoughts, my brain can’t articulate what I’m feeling. So all I can do is share with you a special story, that if anything, gives perspective. Thank you Zach Sobiech, I think you did what you set out to do. xoxo

My husband and I have finally come to terms with the fact that a small remodel is a must for our living environment. Not that we don’t live comfortably, but making our space a bit more functional and maximizing our little nest will not only give us more elbow room, but entertaining friends and family will be so much more fun. As we embark on our journey I’ll document from time to time our progress. Until then I came across a great apartment, that I don’t know who it belongs too, and my all time favorite brooklyn brownstone, Jenna Lyons former residence. Both spaces have the ease, comfort and creative elements that speak to my modern, rustic, industrial aesthetic. Can’t wait to begin our project! Happy Monday! xoxo
Love, Love black walls.
A great example of small but cool.
Love the dark floors with the crisp white walls and endless amount of books.
The best nook.
Gwyneth Paltrow has a new cookbook coming out, It’s All Good. Not everyone I talk with is a huge fan of Gwyneth and her cookbooks. I personally love her and her books. She has some “hang ups” about food and lifestyle choices that critics, media and the public feel a need to comment on, constantly, but honestly who lives “hang up” free? She’s as real and honest as she chooses to be and I for one can admire her for that. In reality we’re all doing the best we can, it’s just, good or bad, she chooses to do it in the public eye. Regardless of what you may think of Gwyneth, she’s a capable woman and a loving mom and who can fault her for that. You go Gwyneth, you do your thing! xoxo
Avocado Toast…My kind of recipe.
If Greens 3 Citrus 2 makes any sense to you, then you are well on your way with the juice press craze here in LA. If you have no idea what I’m talking about let me tell you about the latest phenomenon we call detoxing. Gone are the days everyone used to use these diet pills for teenagers, the era of pressed juice has arrived. Pressed juice has fast become the “it” diet/cleanse. From cleansing the skin to cleansing the soul, a pressed juice detox plan has taken center stage. I’m not sure if it was Gwyneth who surged the craze, or being that angelenos are always looking for that youthful glow we managed to come up with another off the wall fountain of youth sheme. In any case, it may be something to try.
Pressed Juicery is a Brentwood based company that offers a 3 day cleanse strictly with pressed juice. They deliver, eight 16 fl oz drinks to your doorstep, daily for 3 days. In return, at the end of the 3 days, we should feel thinner, healthier and detoxed. Whether or not there is any medically proven benefit from juicing, I don’t know, but I personally know quite a few people that strongly believe in this practice. I for one haven’t tried it, but if I felt in need of detoxing I definitely would. xoxo
